Matsqui Post Office was opened in 1875. Name changed to Mission City Post Office 1 October 1891. Post Office Dept changed the name to Mission Post Office 15 December 1973. Name confirmed in Geographical Names Board records as Mission (Post Office) 19 December 1973 on 92 G/1h.
