Mount McArthur adopted in the 2nd Report of the Geographic Board of Canada, 30 June 1900. Identified as "McArthur Mountain" in the 5th Report, 30 June 1904 et seq. Form of name changed back to "Mount McArthur" in the 1930 BC Gazetteer; confirmed 5 July 1961 on 82N/10.
