Origin Notes and History:

Dolomite Narrows adopted 7 April 1949 on Chart #3853, as identified in British Columbia Pilot, Vol II, edition 1, 1913. Name changed 7 January 2022 to Ḵ'iid Xyangs Ḵ'iidaay on 103B/6 as recommended by The Council of the Haida Nation and supported by North Coast Regional District, Archipelago Search and Rescue, and Canadian Coast Guard.

Identified as "Burnaby Narrows" on early chart (title/date not cited). Mis-spelled "Dalomite Narrows" on C.353, c1929.
