Origin Notes and History:

"Hunaechin Creek" adopted 1 August 1922 on 92J/4 as likley appears on Reference Map "Powell Lake" (1922) and in OBF 0732. In lieu of original paperwork this name was re-confirmed 31 March 1924 in the 1924 Gazetteer and on Reference Map 2D "Powell Lake", 1923. Name changed to x̱enichen stulu 21 June 2023 on 92J/4, as requested by shíshálh Nation.
