Origin Notes and History:
Adopted in the 15th Report of the Geographic Board of Canada, 31 March 1917. "Chilcotin Lake (not Chezakut Lake)" confirmed in the 1930 BC Gazetteer. Re-approved 13 March 1947 on 93/SW. See Chilcotin River for origin information. Name changed 11 March 2019 to Cheẑich'ed Biny on 93C/8 as recommended by the Tŝilhqot'in National Government and supported by the Cariboo Regional District, BC Parks, and Recreation Sites and Trails.
