Chink Creek adopted 1 March 1938 on Geological Survey sheet, 449A, Hazelton. Name changed to Atrill Creek 1 February 1963 on 93 M/3.

Identified as Beaver Creek on 1912 survey plans for Lots 1350 & 1410 (field book 1638/12, ph 10). Atrill has since become an established local name, referring to an early settler at Lot 1351.
