Origin Notes and History:

Adopted 6 October 1936 on Geological Survey sheet 420A, Kettle River, as labelled on BC map 1EM, 1915, and BC map 4K, 1923, and as identified in the 1930 BC Gazetteer. A long-established local name, presumably in comparison with Big White Mountain, 18 miles distant.
