Origin Notes and History:

Established per Order in Council #1689, 20 December 1940, contaiing 2558.1 acres. Boundary redescribed per OIC 2050, 3 September 1958; OIC 1976, 30 June 1966; OIC 356, 29 January 1971; OIC 3150, 30 August 1971; OIC 2242, 1977 (date not cited), the whole now containing 2686 acres. Conversion of OIC to Statute designation per Bill 17-2000: Protected Areas of British Columbia Act, 29 June 2000, the whole containing 1807 ha. more or less. Boundary redescribed per Bill 5: Protected Areas of British Columbia Amendment Act, 16 March 2013, the whole now containing approximately 1,055 hectares. Per Bill 17 - 2021: Protected Areas of British Columbia Amendment Act, 2021; the whole park now containing approximately 1 074 ha.
