Adopted 3 March 1960 on 82J, applied to the lake northwest of Nub Peak at 50°56' x 115°41' as identified on small scale map submitted in November 1959 by National Parks Branch (file K.2.59). Namesake is Elizabeth "Lizzie" Rummel (1895-1980), who operated a summer tent camp here from 1951 to 1970.
