Also known variously as Tibb's Island, Castle Island, and Dream Island; one-time owner Frederick Gerald Tibbs ( -1921) had built a "castle" [mansion?] here and called the property "Dreamisle". He bequethed the island (but not the house) to Miss Alma Arnet, daughter of Jacob Arnet. A copy of the Tibbs' will, photographs, and letters are published in "Settling Clayoquot" by Bob Bossin, Provincial Archives of British Columbia, Sound Heritage Series #33.
