Origin Notes and History:

Established as a Class A Park per Order in Council 2544, 24 July 1973, containing 384 acres. Area expanded per OIC 2247, 4 July 1974. Area expanded per Bill 29: Park Amendment Act 1997, 23 July 1997; the whole now containing 9,258 ha. more or less. Name changed to Sx̱ótsaqel/Chilliwack Lake Park per Bill 17-2021: Protected Areas of British Columbia Amendment Act.
