"There were numerous Arbutus trees on the slope and at the top of the hill overlooking the Satellite Channel...right in front of the Village Square. "Arbutus Ridge" seemed to be a natural choice to name the community". -quote provided by local resident on reason why "Arbutus Ridge" may have been originally chosen as the name for the community.
