Origin Notes and History:

Named after Albert L. Rogers, nephew of Major A.B. Rogers (namesake of Rogers Pass), who assisted his uncle in exploring the CPR route 1881-82. (The Selkirk Range, Vol.1, by A.O. Wheeler, 1905, p.419). Albert Rogers died at Waterville, Washington 16 May 1929; obituary in Victoria Colonist 18 May 1929, p.1.
