Origin Notes and History:

Established per Order in Council #1505, 9 December 1998, containing 11.65 hectares (11.34 ha of upland and .31 ha of foreshore) more or less. Conversion of OIC to Statute designation per Bill 50:2004, Parks and Protected Areas Statutes Amendment Act, 17 May 2004; the whole containing approximately 11.65 hectares.

ER #144. Purpose for establishing this reserve: To protect the most easterly isolated stand of Garry oak and associated ecosystem in British Columbia. Ecological Reserves are areas in British Columbia selected to preserve representative and special natural ecosystems, plant and animal species, features, and phenomena.
