Established per Order in Council #592, 30 April 1996, containing 47 hectares more or less. Conversion of OIC to Statute designation per Bill 50:2004, Parks and Protected Areas Statutes Amendment Act, 17 May 2004; the whole containing approximately 47 hectares.

ER #136. Purpose for establishing this reserve: To protect unusual dry-site plant communities in the Coastal Western Hemlock Zone. Ecological Reserves are areas in British Columbia selected to preserve representative and special natural ecosystems, plant and animal species, features, and phenomena.
