Form of name changed to Albert Canyon (Post Office and Station) 8 September 1932 on 82 N/SW, then to Albert Canyon (Locality and Railway Point). Locality name changed to Canyon Hot Springs 30 August 1984, being the established local name; Railway Point still called Albert Canyon. Altered application of Albert Canyon (Railway Point) 31 October 1989 on 82 N/4, to a location about 2 miles down the track.
