Origin Notes and History:

Lower Grayling Lake. The original Tlingit name is Ixda a T'ase Aak'u. This lake has grayling in it too. This lake is the smallest and is east of Johnston Town. The creek draining Lower Grayling Lake flows into Jennings River. The people living near Johnston Town at the time would also go there to get the grayling mainly in the springtime when they would spawn. (Information provided January 2013 by Teslin Tlingit Council, in turn confirmed in summer 1999 by Frank Jackson.)
