Robert D. Mather was a merchant at Wild Horse River during the gold excitement and afterwards. He was the Crown Grantee of Lot 656, pre-empted by Barrack Mapwell Jenkings 1 January 1872. He also was the legatee for Lot 655, pre-empted by George Taylor 13 May 1868.
