Established per Bill 50-2004: Parks and Protected Areas Statutes Amendment Act, 17 May 2004; the whole park containing approximately 582 hectares (the Exstew River Site containing approximately 188 hectares, and the Kasiks River Site containing approximately 394 hectares).
