Origin Notes and History:

INAC # 00122. Swan Lake Indian Reserve 4 was an Indian Reserve until July 19, 1924 when it and other lands were cut off by Order in Council P.C. 1924-1265. At or near this time, the former lands of Swan Lake Indian Reserve No 4 received the designation of District Lot 4645. Provincial Order in Council No. 389, of Canada. It is subject to a right-of-way granted to BC Hydro and Power Authority by Order in Council No. 1339, dated July 19, 1951. Swan Lake Indian Reserve 4 was re-established by Order in Council P.C. 1985-1481, 2 May 1985.
