Origin Notes and History:

The area around the ancient Haida village of Ninstints - also spelled Nan Sdins - was designated by UNESCO as Anthony Island (South Moresby) World Heritage Site 30 October 1981. Name changed to SGang Gwaay World Heritage Site 16 July 2006.
