Origin Notes and History:

"Robson Bight (Michael Bigg) Park" established by Bill 53: Park Amendment Act 1995, 13 July 1995, encompassing Robson Bight Ecological Reserve, Tsitika Mountain Ecological Reserve and Mount Derby Ecological Reserve and surrounding environs; the whole containing 6,570 ha. more or less. Name changed to Lower Tsitika River Park and area reduced per Bill 15-2001: Protected Areas of British Columbia Amendment Act, 11 April 2001, to exclude the 3 Ecological Reserves (which reverted to ER status); the whole now containing 3745 ha. more or less.
