Selvesen Island adopted 8 June 1946 on C.3869 in association with Selvesen Point. Spelling changed to Salvesen Island 28 September 2000 on 103F/10, being the correct spelling of the family name, as confirmed by family members and as identified on life insurance documents (file M.2.59).
