Origin Notes and History:
|
"Castle Creek (1 mile long), tributary to Motherlode Creek" adopted in the 1930 BC Gazetteer, as labelled on Plan 10T269, Greenwood (date not cited). This small watercourse was not compiled or labelled on other early maps, and once larger scale maps were produced showing the stream, the name Greyhound Creek was inadvertently adopted 3 April 1959 in the same location, in association with the adjacent Greyhound mineral claim. Castle Creek rescinded 15 September 1981.
