After long-time Clearwater resident and avid fisherman, Sherman Dunn Colborne, who had been active in various community associations, including stream rehabilitation projects. Born 9 June 1924 at Cumberland County, Nova Scotia, the second of nine children born to Garnet Colborne and Gladys Hunter Colborne; married Enit Margaret Stearns in 1949 at Springhill, Nova Scotia; moved to Clearwater in February 1949; three children: Laurence, Marilyn and Ronald. Died January 1997 at Clearwater. Anecdotes on file.
