Origin Notes and History:

White River Pocket Wilderness Park established by Order in Council 589, 30 April 1996, containing 68 ha. more or less. Conversion of OIC to Statute designation and name changed to White River Park per Bill 29: Park Amendment Act 1997, 23 July 1997, the whole still containing 68 ha. more or less. Boundary redescribed per Bill 50-2004: Parks and Protected Areas Statutes Amendment Act, 17 May 2004; the whole now containing approximately 72 hectares.
