Origin Notes and History:

"Stake-McConnell Lakes Recreation Area" established per Order in Council 1738, 4 September 1987. Cancelled per OIC 205, 21 February 1997, and a 107-hectare portion re-established as McConnell Lake Park per Bill 29: Park Amendment Act 1997, 23 July 1997. Redescribed per Bill 17-2000: Protected Areas of British Columbia Act, 29 June 2000; the whole now containing 102 ha. more or less.
