Big Bunsby Park established per OIC 589/96, 30 April 1996, containing 658 ha. Name changed to Big Bunsby Marine Park per Bill 29: Park Amendment Act 1997, 23 July 1997, to reflect naming conventions for provincial marine parks. Redescribed per Bill 50-2004: Parks and
Protected Areas Statutes Amendment Act, 17 May
2004; the whole containing approximately 627 hectares (272 hectares of upland and 355 hectares of foreshore). Boundary redescribed per Bill 10-2009: Protected Areas of British Columbia Amendment Act, 20 October 2009; the whole now containing approximately 622 hectares (267 hectares of upland and 355 hectares of foreshore). Boundary redescribed per Bill 20-2010: Miscellaneous Statutes Amendment Act, 22 June 2010; the whole now containing 619 hectares (267 hectares of upland and 352 hectares of foreshore).
