Named to remember RCAF Flight Sergeant Aloysius William ("Bill") Klauer, R149019, from Fernie. Serving as an air gunner when he died 4 May 1943, age 29 (circumstances not cited). Buried at Stratford-on-Avon Cemetery, UK, grave 4147. Survived by his wife Marie Klauer, and his parents Sarah Josephine Ryan Klauer and Adam Aloysius Klauer, all of Fernie.
