One of the prominent summits in the area; it's distinctive vertical strata are visible from Tumbler Ridge, and the individual peaks and cols are a popular snowmobile site in the winter. Paul Kostuik was appointed chief of Quintette operations in 1983; presumably the feature was named at that time by personnel at the Quintette mine.
