Established per Order in Council 587, 30 April 1996. Conversion of OIC to Statute designation and area extended per Bill 29: Park Amendment Act 1997, 23 July 1997, the whole now containing 5140 ha. more or less. Boundary redescribed per Bill 38-2008: Protected Areas of British Columbia (Conservancies and Parks) Amendment Act, 23 May 2008; the whole containing approximately 5868 hectares.
