Daisy Lake (Post Office, Station, Settlement) identified in the 1930 BC Gazetteer, as labelled on BC map 2D, 1923. Name changed to Garibaldi (Locality) 8 September 1932 on Ottawa file OBF 1259.

Daisy Lake Post Office was opened 1 May 1916, named in association with nearby Daisy Lake. PGER station also named Daisy Lake, until changed to Garibaldi in 1932. Post Office name changed to to Garibaldi Post Office 1 July 1932.
