Origin Notes and History:

Fish Lake Post Office was opened here 1 October 1934, and so-labelled on Geological Survey sheet 430A, Bridge River, 1936 (copy on file G.1.36). Post Office name changed to Brexton 12 July 1938. Brexton (Post Office) adopted 12 December 1939 on BC Lands' map 3K, "not Fish Lake (Post Office)..."
