Origin Notes and History:

"Coutlee, not Coutlie" (plateau, railway station and town) adopted in 12th Report of the Geographic Board of Canada, 30 June 1913, as labelled on BC map 2B, 1914. Name no longer used or recognized by area residents; rescinded 14 May 1982 on 92 I/2,3 and 92H/15. See Coutlee (locality) for origin information.
