Sahtlam Post Office opened 1 April 1926 (exact location not cited); re-named Benallack Post Office 1 October 1926, situated on Lot 2, Sec 10, R 10 adjacent to the railway station of the same name; renamed Sahtlam Post Office 1 December 1928.

There is a Post Office at the logging camp of the Scottish Palmer Lumber Company at this point, designated as Bennallack. Firlock Lumber Company's mill is located here (shipping point at mile 65.4 Cowichan Subdivision, E&N). Firlock Lumber Company of Vancouver expects to ship one or two cars of lumber, each day for two or three years, to points in Eastern Canada and the United States. (23 May 1927 letter from CNR).
