Beaumont Post Office opened 1 April 1900, situated on the SE corner of Esquimalt Road and Constance Avenue (see cancellation mark & postmaster's 1913 sketch on PO card). Amalgamated as a sub-office within Victoria Post Office 1 January 1917.

Possibly named after Rear Admiral Lewis Anthony Beaumont ( - 1922), appointed to command the Pacific Station 20 March 1899; remained at Esquimalt Naval Base until October or November 1900.
