Origin Notes and History:

Established per Order in Council 2991, 30 December 1959, containing 212 acres. Addition to park per OIC 588/96, 30 April 1996, the whole containing 128 ha. Boundary adjusted per Bill 29: Park Amendment Act 1997, 23 July 1997, the whole now containing 103 ha. Redescribed per Bill 50-2004: Parks and Protected Areas Statutes Amendment Act, 17 May 2004; the whole containing approximately 119 hectares (117 hectares of upland and 2 hectares of foreshore).
