Origin Notes and History:

Porteau Landing (Settlement) adopted 4 October 1945 on C. 3579 (file H.2.45). Name changed to Glen Eden (Settlement) 4 June 1953 as petitioned by residents (file V.2.50). Confirmed as Glen Eden (settlement) and Porteau (station) 3 April 1959 on 92G. Glen Eden (settlement) rescinded 15 January 1982 on 92G/11 as advised by Department of Highways. Porteau (station) changed to Porteau (locality) 31 March 1983 on 92G/11.
