Origin Notes and History:

Gunsight Peak was adopted 27 February 1978 on 92J/2, as recommended by BC Mountaineer Club because of use in "Climbers Guide to the Coastal Ranges of British Columbia", 1968, p. 370. Name changed to In-SHUCK-ch Mountain 13 August 1992 on 92J/2 - the long-standing local name according to Tribal Council.
