Welcome Lake adopted 3 May 1951 on 92G, as labelled on Geological Survey sheet 997A, New Westminster & Nanaimo Mining Divisions, 1908, and on BC map 2B, 1914. Name changed to Como Lake 4 July 1957 on 92G/SE, being the established local name.
