Origin Notes and History:

Dawson Arm adopted in the 18th Report of the Geographic Board of Canada, 31 March 1924; Gilttoyees Inlet was adopted at the same time, being the "northerly branch of Dawson Arm, Douglas Channel." The name Dawson Arm was rescinded and the application of the name Gilttoyees Inlet was extended 14 June 1946 on 103SE, to apply to the entire feature.
