Cambria Snowfield adopted 3 October 1933 on Geological Survey sheet 307A, Portland Canal, as submitted by BC Geographic Division June 1933 in association with Cambria Range (file G.2.32, Ottawa file 1432). Cambria Snowfield confirmed 6 August 1953 on 103 P. Form of name changed to Cambria Icefield 9 May 1966 on 103 NE (file G.2.32).
