Origin Notes and History:

This is Kitselas (railway point). At one time, the GTP station was named (or proposed to be named), Vanarsdol. C.C. Van Arsdoll was the engineer responsible for construction of GTP's route through the Rocky Mountains. His nickname was "Four-tenths Van", earned as a result of his famous ultimatum to surveyors that the grade of the railway route was not to exceed four-tenths of one percent.
