Adopted 4 November 1954 on Columbia River Basin manuscript 20, "tributary to Columbia River about 6 miles NW of Arrowhead," as labelled on BC map 4H, 1926, and as identified in the 1930 BC Gazetteer. Coordinates of mouth altered 6 April 1981 on 82K/13 due to flooding of Columbia River.
