Origin Notes and History:

Adopted in 1935 on Geological Survey sheet 309A, Stikine River Area, as submitted in February 1930 by R. Dickison, Dominion Topographical staff (Ottawa file OBF1274). Location misinterpreted and name re-approved 1 September 1953 (applied to the summit at 57 47 25 - 132 02 55 on 104F). Re-approved in the original location 17 June 1975 on 104G, being the location of the Mount Kitchener triangulation station, 8372 feet.
