Named in association with Kinuseo Falls, in turn a Cree word for 'fish', "....owing to the great numbers of trout both above and below the falls...." (February 1920 letter from S.Prescott Fay, Boston, to Geographic Board of Canada, describing trips he made in 1912-13-14; Ottawa file 0216).
