Called Lightning Peak by Martin and Ester Kafer because of weather conditions the night before seeing the feature (Canadian Alpine Journal, vol 47, 1964, pp. 68-72.) That name is overworked, so Fulgora suggested, being the name of the Roman goddess who presides over lightning.
