Origin Notes and History:

Labelled "Mount Morice" on BC map 1H, 1917, and so-identified in the 1930 BC Gazetteer. Mount Coccola adopted in this location 23 April 1940 as had been recommended in 1936 by Frank Swannell, BCLS, to avoid confusion with the other "Morice" features near Houston.
