Atna Mountains adopted in the 1930 BC Gazetteer, as labelled on 1879 Geological Survey map of British Columbia and the Northwest Territory from the Pacific Ocean to Fort Edmonton, and on sheet BC map 1H, 1917; form of name changed to Atna Range 5 July 1951 on 93 M.
