Origin Notes and History:

Duck and Pringles Post Office was opened in this location, 13 June 1870, Jacob Duck postmaster. Ducks (station) opened later. Ducks (settlement) labelled on Trutch's 1871 map of British Columbia. Post Office renamed Monte Creek Post Office 1 October 1896. See Duck Range (community) and Monte Creek (community) for additional information.
